After thinking about the RailWorks Mega pack some more, I decided to purchase it. At about 22 cents on the dollar, I doubt we will see an discount like this again. Now, I own 4 of the items on the list. This purchase includes practically all of the RailWorks catalogue I think, except, for the most recent releases.

Now, if you are thinking about buying this, you must know that they will not give you another copy of the items that you already own. They will remind you of this at checkout. Never the less, It's a very good deal, unless, like some members, you buy every item at release. Then it will probably be wise to wait for the usual 25, or, 50 percent discount, to buy the item(s) you might want to own.rrroberttt. Is there any chance we might see some individual DLC discounts soon, such as the NS SD40-2 high-nose? Sorry, but even the awesome $199 for the mega-pack is out of reach when most of it I wouldn't use.Just about everything gets discounted at some point, you just have to either be patient and wait for when it comes up, or pay extra for the convenience of having it now.

Given you can't reasonably expect regular sales of smaller items like the SD40-2 packs to have discounts of more than 25% or so, is waiting for a $2.60 discount that big a deal? If it is a big deal why not save for the extra cost by making your own cup of coffee, bringing lunch to work or making concious efforts to drive more efficiently. And if the NS SD40-2 is next given a discount of 25% in March, will you not have enjoyed $2.60 worth of entertainment value during that three month period if you bought it now? Uno, i don't run trains that much, choosing instead asset or route building. There is no shortage of motive power that I need an immediate service of the unit. Second, since this is not a modern locomotive and it isn't seen in service on the mainlines, I only need it for local switching service, a spot that can easily be filled by Justin Cornell's GP38.
